Top six Colourpop liquid lipsticks I’m loving.

image

I have many Colourpop liquid lipsticks in my collection so narrowing down just six of them was a little difficult. I originally was going to do my top favorite five, but five turned into six… and as I kept going through my collection I knew six would lead to seven, and so on and so forth. I guess we’ll consider this my top six favorites at the moment. These six colors are ones that I find myself wearing a lot. I have three ultra satin finishes and three ultra matte finishes. I personally love matte lips, but I find satin lip finishes to be just as beautiful and find myself wearing that type of finish more and more often. Continue reading

Candles… my other love.

image

If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I love makeup. Love! I’ve loved makeup since I was a little girl. It’s what I love to spend my money on, look at, play with, you name it. It makes me happy. Life can be hard and I’m all for finding what makes you happy and doing it… but I also have a love for candles. I love scents and I love good smells. As with makeup, I love good quality candles that perform well and have lots of scent. Also, as with makeup, I tend to be a sucker for good packaging. I will say I don’t usually buy candles solely just on looks or packaging alone. I mean, that’s definitely a plus in my book if the candle is adorable and cute as well as smells fantastic. Of course nowadays you will find all kinds of candles, brands, and a bunch of different scents. Sometimes that can be a little overwhelming and make it hard to choose. I tend to have a certain type of scent I like. I’m more into bakery and gourmand foodie scents as opposed to floral and perfume. A lot of times, I find those type of candles just don’t work well with me and my nose. They can be too overpowering and heavy on the perfume/ cologne and cause me to have a headache. It has to be toned down some with a vanilla note or some other note I enjoy for me to even consider buying it.   Continue reading

Kyshadow Burgundy Palette. Buy or nah?

image

To buy or not? That’s the question. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know who Kylie Jenner is and that she has her own very successful makeup brand. She started out with her lip kits and has since expanded that to eyeliner, and eyeshadow palettes. This burgundy palette (releasing today at 1 pm pacific time) will be the second one in the collection. The first palette I had no desire to buy, simply because the colors were uninteresting to me and I have many similar colors by other brands. It just seemed kinda blah to me. I heard mixed reviews about that palette as well, saying the shadows weren’t as pigmented or felt “cheap” and we’re not easy to blend. Other reviews said the palette was amazing. Still it wasn’t something I wanted. Continue reading

Blushes

image
I love blushes! I may even have a slight obsession with buying blushes. (Same goes for liquid lipsticks & regular lipsticks) I love makeup in general, of course, but I notice with makeup I’ll sometimes find myself stuck on one or two things I  gravitate towards buying.. and buying so much of at different times. As of late it’s been blushes and liquid lipsticks. In the past it’s been eyeshadow palettes, mascara, lipgloss, bronzer, you name it. I can’t get enough and I always want more. Trying to explain that to a non makeup lover, or someone who has less enthusiasm about makeup and just wears it on occasion, etc, they don’t “get it” “Why do you need more than one or two blushes, lipsticks, mascaras?” “How can you spend so much money on makeup?” We all have our own thing, mine is makeup (and clothes, sunglasses, and candles.. okay, so I have more than one thing but you get the point.) you should do and buy what makes you happy & makeup is my happiness. Let’s talk fall tv favs.

image

Fall is  obviously my favorite time of year for many reasons, (if you’d like to read about why you can check out my post here The best time of the year)  and with fall comes new and old fall television shows. I’m a lover of both movies & tv (reality and scripted) so I thought I’d talk about some current shows that are on the old DVR that I’m watching or plan to watch this fall season. Continue reading

Dose Of Colors liquid lipsticks & why I’m not really a fan.

image

Dose Of Colors is a brand I first heard about from Instagram and Youtube from some of the popular Youtubers I follow. I was curious about this brand because at the time I was hearing so much about them. How great their liquid lipsticks were, how they stayed on all day, how it seemed to be so many people’s “favorite brand,” how you just had to try them because they were so incredible. I eventually caved and in fact, tried them. Initially I was a little disappointed at the color selection on their website. I felt they didn’t have many colors that interested me, or that the ones I was finding were similar to other shades I already owned. Honestly, nothing jumped out at me begging me to buy it… still I wanted to try it because I’m a makeup lover and I like trying new brands, especially ones that are getting a lot of hype about them. As I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, I am a sucker for packaging and I really love the packaging of these liquid lipsticks. The frosty glass containers , silver ring, and white tops really caught my eye. I think Dose Of Colors has some of the best packaging around when it comes to their liquid lipsticks. I personally just think they look really sleek in any makeup collection.  Continue reading

Master Palette by Mario- Anastasia Beverly Hills

imageIf you can only get one palette this year, or having trouble deciding if you should get this palette… GET IT and get it NOW! The Master Palette by Mario is the palette created by the super talented celebrity makeup artist (most known for being Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist) Mario Dedivanovic. This palette is limited edition so once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. It retails at Sephora for $45 for twelve gorgeous shades. There was so much talk about this palette before it was ever released and I knew once I saw it, it was a done deal. The colors screamed my name. I ordered mine the night Anastasia Beverly Hills released it. It was a quick process, no site crashing, no freaking out that it was going to sell out instantly- (okay, there was minor freaking out) delivery was pretty quick as well. I think it shipped the next day or day after and I had it two days after receiving my shipping notification.  Continue reading
