If you guys checked out my Ulta Black Friday Post, then you saw I picked these two Tarte lippies up. I’ve been wanting to try Tarte’s liquid lipsticks for a while now. I love Tarte! I have a few of their Amazonian Clay blushes, eyeshadow palette, concealer, and one of my favorite foundations- Tarte’s Rainforest Of The Sea. I’m familiar with this brand and it’s one I really like. I don’t know why it took me until now to finally try their lip products. (Blame it on the abundance of lippies I already own and if I stopped buying lipsticks tomorrow, would last me for a couple of years.) I guess you could say I’ve kinda always had my eye on Tarte’s liquid lipsticks. I’ve wanted to try the color Namaste for a while. I’ve noticed the color on a few girls on Instagram, and from the looks of it, it looked to be a color that was definitely for me. You guys know I love a good nude! Can you ever really have too many nude shades? 😉 Continue reading
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Bath & Body Works candles. I buy them whenever they’re on sale and burn them year round. I’ve been a fan of their candles for about five years now. Are they the perfect candle? Far from it. Do they have wick issues and the occasional non throw issues? Of course. I can get past it enough to continue buying them. Their fall and winter candles are my favorite! If you’re a Bath & Body Works candle fan (and you pay attention), you’ll often find lots of returning repackaged candles that are renamed something different. The candle still smells exactly the same… it’s just a completely different label and title. In some ways that’s a good thing. Say they’ve “discontinued” a candle you really loved, you might get lucky the following season with it returning- just named and repackaged something completely different. For example one of the candles I love currently, ‘Maple Cinnamon Pancakes’ is my favorite candle from a couple of years ago they discontinued- ‘Pumpkin Caramel Latte’ Completely different names, but exact same scent notes in each of them. I didn’t splurge much on myself during my Black Friday shopping. I wanted to. Believe me, I wanted to… but I needed to get some Christmas shopping done for the people on my list. I purposely tried to avoid any stores that are my favorite, or ones that I knew I’d be tempted to buy things for myself. (As you can imagine now that Black Friday is over and done with, I kept getting emails and seeing on Instagram all the Cyber Monday deals) *cries* I want to partake and buy lots of makeup goodies, but I’m not done shopping yet for Christmas presents… so sadly, (and taking everything I have inside of me) I’m probably going to pass. I know. It’s sad. I’m sad about it, too. Gotta be strong, Jenn! Gotta be strong! Continue reading
I was finally able to get my hands on this collection during Kylie’s last restock. The first time she launched this, I was on the site at the exact moment it went live, added it to my cart, was placed in the “waiting area” to pay, only to be told it was “sold out” six minutes later. I was so disappointed! Luckily she decided to do one more restock because apparently that same situation I had happen to me… happened to many others. The next time she restocked, I was still a little anxious it would sell out again and what happened the first time to me would happen again. This time around it was a lot smoother and I think it sold out a couple of hours later. I really hate when products that a company knows are in high demand sell out in minutes. It can be really frustrating as a consumer, especially if it’s an item you’ve had your eye on and just want so badly. Continue reading
Thanksgiving is now over and the time to start Christmas shopping has arrived. Ugh! When did that happen? I’ve never been so far behind on Christmas shopping since, like, eight or so years ago? I’m a planner. I like to plan ahead. I like having things done early, before all the madness of the holidays arrives. This year I’ve done nothing yet. No online purchases have been made, no store purchases for that matter either. I hate waiting until the last minute to do anything. I start feeling stressed and start getting anxiety over it. I know I have time to shop, but I hate waiting this late. The malls are going to be crazy from here on out. Not to mention traffic! Ugh! Traffic, crowds of people pushing and shoving. Tis the season, right?
I’m sitting here about to go out with my husband so he can Black Friday shop at Best Buy, Target, and maybe go to the outlets. (The time is currently almost 1am- stores in MA open at 1am for Black Friday) I’m undecided if I’m going to do any shopping. Victoria’s Secret seems like a disappointment this year. Bath & Body Works is doing a buy 3 get 3 free for the entire store, but I have a ton of candles… I might just wait until the $8 candle sale. Or is it $9 now? I might check out Ulta, but probably wouldn’t be buying any of their ‘Black Friday sales’ I’d probably just pop in to purchase other random makeup goodies… same goes for Sephora.
Honestly I shouldn’t be buying anything else for myself yet. I HAVE NO CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE! I wanted to buy this Teddy Blake handbag that was 55% off for their Black Friday sale… but I couldn’t justify spending that much money on myself when I don’t even have any of my Christmas shopping done. Sometimes I hate being a grown up. *pouts*
Every makeup company it seems is having some kind of Black Friday sale and it’s taking everything I have not to order something from a few of them. I did order the new Kylie Cosmetics holiday eyeshadow palette the other day. I was good. I had in my cart the eyeshadow palette, the bronze palette, the Kyliner in Snow, (the new holiday one) and the 4 pack of lipsticks, but in the end I ordered just the eyeshadow. I so would have bought all of those if I was ahead with my holiday shopping for everyone. It’s my own fault.
Still I’m debating… I may pop into a few stores to try and buy some presents for the ones on my list. If the stores aren’t too crazy, I’ll go in. If they are insane…. I’m staying away!!!
Are you guys taking advantage of any Black Friday sales? Or are you waiting until Cyber Monday instead? (I’ll probably partake in that) Let me know!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope each of you are celebrating this day with family, friends, and other loved ones. I wanted to wish you all a safe and joyous holiday making new memories and sharing lots of laughs. Today is a day to spend with family and be thankful for all that we have. I remember being a kid and always dreading this holiday. It was a day of just food and eating and I found that so boring. There were no presents or glittery, shiny, decorations. I hated having to get dressed up to see relatives I hardly saw otherwise throughout the year. Being a kid at that time, I didn’t understand what Thanksgiving was all about. Of course now that I’m older, I can appreciate what this day means. I’m thankful I get to spend it with not only my family, but spend the rest of the day with my husband’s family as well.
I hope whomever you’re spending this holiday with, you enjoy your day. Today will be a busy day for us, as I’m sure it will be for lots of others. We have both sides of our families houses we have to go to for dinner, we’ll come home at around ten or so and be able to relax for a bit before midnight. My husband likes to hit Best Buy for their Black Friday deals. (I’ll be waiting in the car) I’m undecided if I’m going to hit any stores this year. I usually like to go to Victoria’s Secret because they always have a beautiful tote bag for Black Friday, but I’m soo disappointed in this years bag. It’s just too plain. Last year was the silver glittery bag (I use it as my gym bag & get so many compliments on it. It sparkles so much… especially in the sunlight) The bag this year is just a basic black one. Just not feeling it. I guess that’s good for me- saving money and all. 🙂
So, guys, once again, Happy Thanksgiving!! Be safe and have a wonderful day.

Candyman is a super metallic rich gold highlighter in a pearlized finish. I’m a big fan of Colourpop’s liquid lipsticks and lip liners. I had never tried other products from them besides the lippies, so this was my first time trying one of their highlighters. I placed an order earlier this month and they were having a promo, if you spent a certain amount they included a free highlighter. I thought that was a perfect way for me to be able to try a different product from them- especially since I was on the fence. (If you’ve read my blog, I’ve mentioned in the past I want to try their eyeshadows… talk about beautiful colors and pigmentation! I’m just not a fan of having to use your finger to apply in order to get the best color payoff. I pretty much stay with eyeshadows that apply at their maximum potential using a brush. That’s really the only reason I won’t venture into purchasing eyeshadows from Colourpop) Continue reading
