I didn’t pick up much at Lush today. I actually didn’t even need anything, when does that stop me though, right? I saw on Instagram earlier that Kendall Alfred posted a clip of her Santa’s Belly shower gel. I thought it was the cutest thing and decided right then and there that I needed to buy it. I was going to place a small order online, however, I’m impatient and want things now… plus I didn’t want to pay for shipping when the mall is less than fifteen minutes away.
Lush is a store where it’s always so hard to NOT walk out of there with something. Everything in there is so adorable and smells amazing!! I literally go crazy over all the cute bath bombs, soaps, scrubs, you name it. A lot of the items can be a bit pricy and start to add up so you want to be mindful, unless you’re splurging, then go for it! Today was not a splurge day. (Still trying to finish up my Christmas shopping, actually picked up two gifts for people on my list while in Lush today, so win win.)
- Santa’s Belly – Crisp apple jelly. “This deep red jelly is full of Christmas magic. Star anise infusion, and fresh apple and grape juices are blended into the soft seaweed base to brighten and cleanse skin, and for their sweet, fruity scents. Biodegradable golden stars are sprinkled throughout for a dash of happiness.”
This smells so good!! I can’t wait to try it out in the shower. It’s really juicy. I took it out earlier to see how it felt and so much of the jelly/ juices were all over my hands. I can’t wait to see how this performs! I mean, how beautiful does this look? I love the gold flecks of glitter that creates “Santa’s” belt buckle.
- Sugar Plum Fairy – “At first, its sugary gratification of caster sugar hits your tastebuds, but as you buff away away, it’ll soften even the most wintry of lips. Then it’s time for the fun part—time to lick off the excess! As the vivid, regal purple begins to fade away you’ll enjoy flavor as sweet as juicy blackcurrants with the added vibrancy of sweet wild orange oil.”
I tried this earlier and it smells and tastes delicious! It has a really sweet smell & taste to it. This lip scrub, I felt exfoliated and moisturized my lips nicely. My lips were super soft and smooth after, not to mention the smell was still lingering afterwards. It wasn’t anything overpowering, at least to me, just a slight hint of it was left behind, which I enjoyed.
- Honey I Washed The Kids – “Honey I Washed the Kids is one of our best-selling soaps because it’s simply irresistible. People who fully intended to walk past a LUSH shop find themselves unable to resist its sweet caramel fragrance. You’ll inhale, drool, pick up a big chunk and immediately want to wash yourself all over with it. It’s so gentle, buttery and scrumptious you’ll have a hard time keeping it to yourself. The honey water and aloe are so softening and moisturizing, you can use our toffee-scented sensation on the whole family.”
I think this smells really nice. I can smell honey with hints of caramel and I love that! It’s light, not light to where you smell nothing, but not strong strong like I expected. I’ve only used this once so far (to try it out) to wash my hands. I liked the smell a lot, although I wish the scent lingered more on my hands afterwards. It seemed to fade quickly, which I didn’t like. I wish it would lather more to become really soapy & wish the scent was stronger and lingered for a bit. That’s my only complaint with this.
I have a few more items I’d like to pick up soon… maybe after Christmas. It’s so hard to pass by all the fantastic products they make. So hard! 😉
