OMG! Guys! Can you believe it’s already January?! How is it a new year already?? Seriously, where did the year go? I feel like I just made the post of last months favorites. One thing is for sure, time goes by too fast.
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year! Mine was nice. Pretty low-key with my husband. Nothing fancy.
Well now that one of my favorite months has come to an end… (oh how I’ll miss all the Christmas decor, music, activities, etc.) it’s time for another favorites post.
Melt Cosmetics Rust Stack : I’ve really been enjoying these eyeshadows for the month of December. The colors are perfect, the texture is great, they just make for a nice every day look for myself. If you’ve read my post on these shadows Melt Cosmetics Rust Stack Review you’ll know that this company was new to me, but one I heard good things about from Instagram. I’m planning to order more from Melt Cosmetics in the future.
Almond Roca : So this was a gift from my husband’s Mother & it is one that I ended up loving. I love toffee flavors, and almonds. These suckers are dangers! I found myself not wanting to stop popping a couple of them in my mouth. I ended up hiding these away to stop from munching on them… They’re so good, but so bad! I don’t think I’ve ever tried this brand before, however, this reminded me of a Skor candy bar. I don’t know if any of you remember that candy bar.. (you can still buy them… I see them in the grocery stores and some drug stores) Skor bars used to be one of my favorites growing up and I picked up some similar notes with the Almond Roca. Mainly the milk chocolate and butter toffee. I loved that these candies had crushed almonds on top… so yummy!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette : Literally I was so late to the party with this palette! I just *finally* got this palette a couple of weeks ago. Of course I wanted it when it first came out, however, this palette was always sold out whenever I tried getting it in store. When I saw a couple of months ago it was available online, I waited. I hate ordering anything online if I can buy it in the store.
One : I don’t want to pay for shipping when I can just buy it in store.
Two : I’m impatient and I don’t want to wait… I want it right away. I figured I could hold out until my store got more in stock.
Yeah. Well that didn’t go as planned. I’d call my Ulta (and about three or four other Ulta’s that aren’t too far away) and would pop into Sephora… still sold out!! Finally, realizing, I wouldn’t get this damn palette without having to order it online… I finally caved and did it!
I’m sure you’ve all heard how amazing this palette is already, so I’ll save you from hearing it again. I’m a big fan of ABH shadows and I love the color selection in this palette. If you don’t already have this palette and thinking of buying it, do it! You won’t be disappointed!
Jouer Frost Bite Lip Topper : I bought this lip topper after I bought it in the color Skinny Dip. I love the lip toppers because they’re great to wear alone, if you just want to add a little bit of shimmer to your lips.
They can also be used on top of your lipstick to give it that same desired look. It’s really so pretty! I wanted Frost Bite (more so than Skinny Dip, however, when I placed my order Frost Bite was sold out) it’s a beautiful snowy pearl color & one I’ve been using very often since getting it.
Yankee Candle Peach Cobbler : This candle is definitely one of my favorite YC candles. I know people either love this candle or hate it! I’ve loved it since it first came out and always had to have a couple on backup. It’s not majorly strong in terms of scent, although, the scent I do get from this candle keeps me buying more. It’s probably about a 5 for throw for me. It will fill up a small room perfectly and smells like sweet peaches. It’s more of an artificial peach scent, similar to a peach candy… but it smells so delicious. I’m sad because I recently learned that Yankee Candle has discontinued this fragrance.
Seriously, Yankee?? Super bummed about that.
Henri Bendel Gotham Snake Satchel : Let me start off by saying I’m obsessed with this bag right now! It was a Christmas present from my husband and I couldn’t be happier. I’m constantly changing (and buying) new handbags, so this was a nice surprise from him.
I’ve never owned anything from Henri Bendel before so I can’t compare this to any of their other handbags in terms of quality, etc.
Ahh!, Omg! I do love this handbag… I love structured bags and own many of them (Hubby scored points on that one- he pays attention, unless he just guessed lol) this bag is very roomy and can hold a lot. (Love that too…) it’s perfect for me and I’m excited to add it to my handbag collection.
Philosophy Shower Gel in Coconut Frosting & Christmas Cookies : I love Philosophy! I love their shower gels as well. Originally I wanted to pick up Christmas Cookie, of course it was sold out in store, so I picked up Coconut Frosting instead. I went home and ordered Christmas Cookie because I needed it in my life.
If I had to pick between the two of them, I’d pick Christmas Cookie hands down! Don’t get me wrong, I love Coconut Frosting… it smells sweet and delicious. I do enjoy coconut scents, as long as they’re not too cloying.
Christmas Cookie reminds me of Bath & Body Works Merry Cookie candle. (LOVE that candle & just realizing I forgot to add it to my favorites post right now) It literally just smells like buttery vanilla cookies. It’s so amazing!
Both of these shower gels lather up great. I do notice that neither of them last long afterwards, which is a bummer. They smell fantastic while you’re in the shower though!!
My only regret is not stocking up on a couple more of the Christmas Cookie shower gels, to last me through the year, since it’s seasonal.
Have you guys tried any of these products, or do you want to? How’d you like them? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! 🙂
