So, I’ve recently been really getting into Lush products. I mean, I’ve always liked Lush and would occasionally pop into the store whenever I was at the mall. Of course, they are known for their insanely gorgeous bath bombs. I’d usually go in and that would be the first thing I’d gravitate towards. How could you not?
I never really tried anything from Lush until a few months ago. I’d go in and look, admire the beautiful bath bombs, smell some things, but that was it. I don’t know why I never made a purchase. I just never did.
That’s pretty much changed now. I’m slightly obsessed with finding and wanting to try new products from Lush. It’s probably a combination of how adorable, glittery, girly, everything looks that sparks the interest in me. I also love that they use fresh ingredients.
I picked the Cupcake face mask because… hello, it’s chocolate! Well, that appealed to me, however, it wasn’t the only reason. This mask is said to be great for oily and troubled skin. My skin isn’t really that oily or troubled, (it can get oily at times though)it can tend to be on the dry side, especially during the winter. I liked the fact that this mask is said to calm redness. I’ve always had redness in my cheek area. It’s not very red or deep, but enough to have always bothered me when I wear no makeup.
This mask was supposed to be my second one from Lush. I ordered online the Cup O’ Coffee one and it was supposed to be delivered on Friday… long story short, it was out for delivery and never showed up. Tracking showed that the status “out for delivery” was removed and was just at the facility. I had to call UPS and they apparently can’t find it so I had to file a claim which is going to take 8-10 days. *sigh* I swear this kinda stuff only and always happens to me.
Not sure if that face mask was eventually going to turn up or not, I opted to buy the Cupcake one the other day instead. I’m glad I did. It smells so good! I can smell chocolate and mint. It almost smells good enough to eat!
I’m not sure if all their masks are this way, but this can get pretty messy when applying and removing. (washing off) I don’t have a problem with that. Just something to give you a heads up about in case you weren’t aware. It’s very thick and heavy and can be a little hard to apply and will fall off if you don’t move quickly. (I noticed it fell off in the areas I tried to reapply over)
I could feel the cooling peppermint once I had this mask on my face. It felt nice. Let me just say, after washing this mask off, my face felt so, so, soft! It seriously feels incredible afterwards. It looks smoother and the areas where I had redness look less red.
I’m glad I decided to try this one. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how I’d like it. I’m really pleased though. I just can’t get over how smooth and soft my face feels just from using it. I love it! My only complaint is I wish it came in a bigger size. I feel like I’m going to go through this in no time.
This retails for $9.95 for 2.1 oz and is sold in store only. (It needs to be refrigerated)
Have you guys tried any of the face masks from Lush? What do you like? What are some of your favorite face masks (from any brand) I’m looking for some new ones. Let me know!
