I’ve kind of been giving my wallet a slight break from buying tons of makeup products. I’ve picked up a couple of things here and there. Made some repurchases, etc. I just haven’t really seen anything (makeup related) that I just have to have.
Kylie’s Valentine’s Day collection was sorta disappointing, to me, at least. Nothing jumped out that I wanted to add to my collection. It’s kinda been the same thing with other makeup companies as well. I haven’t had many items catch my eye lately… who knows, maybe with some new spring collections I’ll see something I just NEED! I miss the excitement and the anticipation of waiting for new products to release that I’m impatiently waiting for. You guys know what I’m talking about.
For a little while now I’ve had my eye on the products I’m about to talk about. They’ve been I guess, in a mental wish list, if you will. They will most likely be products I end up picking up at some point this year.
Ofra Cosmetics :
I’ve never purchased anything from Ofra Cosmetics before. It’s another brand I heard about through Instagram. Ever since I first became aware of this company, I’ve been curious about them and their products. I like the images they post on Instagram and I’ve just really been itching to try these highlighters.
I’ve watched a few Youtubers swatch these products on their Snapchat. They seem super pigmented, super gorgeous! The above one is ‘Beverly Hills’ and retails for $39.95 for 10g. I’d like to try them all, ‘Blissful’ and ‘Rodeo Drive.’ However, if I were to just pick one to try… it would be the ‘Beverly Hills’ one. It’s described as :
“Five luminous slices of highlighter heaven are waiting for you in shimmering shades of golden bronze, cool pink, pearly white, neutral shimmer and pinky-peach. Indulge yourself in versatility and endless possibilities with this convenient five in one compact.
Each highlighter works its radiance on all skin tones and can be used individually or together. Layer them if you want an unparalleled highlighter to dramatically accentuate cheek bones and bring the wow factor.
The Beverly Hills Highlighter adds a natural glow to the high points of your face and any specific area the light may hit like your brow bone, Cupid’s bow, inner eye corners, chin and even across your lips.
The silky highlighters double as five glistening eyeshadow powders, making the compact an economical yet luxurious choice for looking fabulous day or night.
OFRA Laboratory’s liquid baked technology includes some of the highest grade pearls and richest pigments on the market, prompting makeup lovers to explore their creativity with this premier product.”
As much as I want to try Ofra’s highlighters… I’m also curious about their liquid lipsticks.
Their liquid lipsticks were actually the first product I heard about from them and wanted to try. I think many of their colors look so vibrant and seem to apply and wear well. (from some reviews I’ve watched) They retail for $19.90. I have a few on my list of colors that catch my eye. You can check out their site at : Ofra Cosmetics
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick : I own a few liquid lipsticks from Kat Von D, I adore them! Recently she came out with six new shades. I love them all… however, the three I most want to try are – Muneca (pinkish apricot) Ophelia ( peach nude) and Ludwig (tawny nude) I was in love when I first saw those colors swatched! I know they were recently just released at Sephora and I almost popped in to scoop them up!
Because this is a brand I know and love, I’m confident these new colors will be just as amazing as her other ones are.
Morphe liquid lipsticks : I’m curious and very interested about these lippies. I basically just have my eye on the nudes and lighter pink colors. To be honest, I haven’t watched any reviews on these as of yet so I’m unsure if they’re worth it or not… or even what people are saying about them. Of course, if I end up trying them out I will watch some videos and read some reviews to see what others think of them. None of these colors jump out at me or are making me feel as if I need them in my life, but I’m curious nonetheless.
Slmissglam Brush book & brush sets : Ahh! So I don’t know if any of you guys follow her, but I’m obsessed with her style, her decor, her brushes! Wow! Her brushes are some of the most stunning brushes I’ve seen!
As I’ve mentioned once before, I’ve always just purchased brushes from MAC or Makeup Geek. Recently, I’ve been trying to expand and branch out with IT Cosmetics, Morphe, Sigma. I saw Slmissglam’s brushes and was instantly obsessed! It’s definitely made me want to purchase (I want them all LOL) her brush sets and collections. I’ve heard great reviews on how they perform so they’re not just for decor purposes.
My birthday is next month, so I may just have to buy myself a brush set. 🙂 I’ve had my eye on them for a little while. Gotta treat yourself, right? I mean, especially for your birthday!! If you guys are into super girly, glam, unicorns, pretty things, check her out! She’s on Instagram and Youtube. Plus she seems like the sweetest thing ever! Always takes the time out to reply back to her followers. She quickly has become one of my favorites to watch and see pics of her glam and brushes. You can check out her store at : Slmissglam
So that’s all. Like I said, I’m probably going to buy everything listed at some point this year. I’ve been interested in all of these products for a little while now.
Have any of you tried any of the products I’ve talked about? If so, how’d you like them? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! 🙂
