Anastasia Beverly Hills & Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit Palette Swatches & Mini Review

img_9983I got this palette on Sunday. I had heard that a lot of Sephora’s were selling them early (even though it was set to release in stores on March 3 or 4th) I called one of my Sephora stores just to ask. The girl said she had them and put one aside for me and off I went to snatch this pretty up!

Ahh! I am in heaven! I’ve wanted this palette since I first saw the colors. Stunning. Just stunning. I’m not sure why these palettes were in Sephora so early, but I am not complaining. I was ready to order it online… which I didn’t really want to because… that little thing called waiting. I’m so happy I was able to get my hands on this earlier!

The pictures do this glow kit no justice. I’m so in love with the colors and how they swatch and perform. I know there was a lot of talk about these colors being too dark for fair skin tones, and more so based for medium or deeper tones. While I do see a couple of these shades being too much for me when I’m not tanning… I’ve used the darker colors as eyeshadow and plan to try them out (as highlight) when I start tanning. I don’t think you should shy away from the palette if that is your main concern and you really want it.

I can see the concern that some may have with the color selections… however, don’t let it intimidate you. The colors look darker in the pan and when swatched, they’re less intense than you’d think. They are also very build-able! If you’re not someone who wants a super intense highlight, it’s perfect. Or if you are that someone who wants to glow to the Gods (me) you can easily build it up and the glow is beautiful!

I also love the formula with this glow kit. It’s not that super chunky glitter (with the exception of Glo Getter and 143- I think they seem to have a more grittier feel and a bit more of that chunky glitter in them… which I hated with the ABH Glow Kit palette) these are pretty easy to blend. Keep in mind, I haven’t tried all of them, but the few that I did test out I had no issues with.

If I had to pick a favorite color from this palette? It’s so hard! I think I’d either go with Kitty Kat or Forever Lit or Forever Young. I can’t pick!

I’m not sure, as I haven’t had this palette for very long.. but I think it might be my favorite ABH glow kit palette. The Moonchild & Sweets palette were my favs, but I’m REALLY loving the formula, the colors, the glow, everything with this palette so far!

Have you guys tried this out yet – if you were able to pick it up in Sephora early like I did? Are you interested in this or are you going to pass? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! πŸ™‚

    • I was a little afraid too that they looked really dark! I loved the colors, but wasn’t sure how they’d look on me. They swatch different than in the pan and I’m so happy about that!! They do work really well! Thanks so much! πŸ’•πŸ’œ
