Today is my Birthday!! Seems kinda crazy because I feel like it was JUST my birthday not that long ago. Agh! The years need to slow down! At this point, I sound like a broken record. It’s true, though. I wish time would slow down. My birthday plans include getting my hair done at the salon with my favorite girl… and probably going to dinner with my husband later on. Old people stuff.
The good thing about my birthday is all the free little gifts I get from different reward programs. Free gifts from Sephora & Ulta, free drink from Starbucks, frozen yogurt from Pinkberry. Who doesn’t love free goodies, especially from their favorite places? 🙂
Anyway, I bring you my first impressions/ thoughts on the Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey eyeshadow palette. I got this the other day. My husband bought this for me as one of my early birthday gifts.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t super eager to get this palette in the beginning. It was cute. I did like the color scheme, but it just wasn’t something I needed or wanted, I guess. I like Too Faced. I like their blushes, mascara… but eyeshadow palettes aren’t ones I jump on to purchase. I have a few of their palettes. Yes, they’re cute, yes the colors are pretty. I just don’t find myself reaching for them. They’re not terrible or awful. Personally, I just have other brands that are my go to when it comes to shadows and I think out perform them. Just personal preference.
What made me want it eventually was all the pics I saw on my Instagram feed. Plus, I really wanted that free makeup bag! How sad, right? Lol I was most excited for the bag!
Actually, by the time I told my husband I wanted this palette… I didn’t think the makeup bag came with it anymore. At least the promo online showed it wasn’t offered as a free gift. I told him I was really looking forward to the bag, so when he went to pay for it the girl was about to hand him his purchase, he asked about the free gift, she kinda hesitated for a minute… and said, “sure.” Yes!
My thoughts on this palette would be that it’s super cute. It’s a given, Too Faced is known for their cutesy, adorable packaging and products. I like how convenient and travel friendly it is. I wish the shadow pans were a bit bigger though… wider. Not as big as the ones on the left, but a little wider than they are.
I haven’t tried out this palette yet. I will have a review on it once I do and let you know what I think. I swatched a couple colors and wasn’t that impressed. However, I didn’t do a full on swatch… kinda just dipped my finger into a few of them lightly and applied quickly to my hand. I won’t really knock it just for that. I’ll make up my mind fully once I actually swatch them properly and test them out on my eyes.
This palette can be purchased at Ulta & Too Faced for $36.
I will say, even though I don’t purchase many Too Faced eyeshadow palettes… I am really looking forward to the Natural Love palette once it hits stores. That looks so beautiful! I’m in love with the colors and almost ordered it online. I want to wait to see how they look and swatch before I decide. 🙂
Have any of you picked up this palette yet? Do you like it? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! 🙂
