Ahh! You guys! I hit 1k followers! What?!? I still find that a little crazy to me. When I started my blog back in October of 2016, I didn’t really know what to expect. I didn’t think anyone would read it! Never did I imagine that today, I’d have 1,000 followers!
I’m so grateful to each and everyone of you who has decided to follow me, like my posts, comment, etc. I’ve met some really great people over here and this little blogging community is so kind and wonderful. I’m so happy to have each and everyone of you!
This means so much. I love all my followers on Instagram and Twitter, don’t get me wrong. This little space I have on here is different. I’m not just posting pics or writing (most of the time on Twitter lol) nonsense. You guys are actually reading what I’m writing and getting something out of that. You are listening to what I have to say and deciding to follow me. That’s why with every follower I get on here, it means a lot. (Again, I love every follower I get on all my other social media pages. I just think this one is a little bit more personal.) Hopefully you understand what I’m trying to explain. 🙂
I’ve been tossing around the idea of having some kind of giveaway on here. I wanted to do something when I hit 1k. I’m just not sure how to go about doing it just yet. I’ve never done one and I’m trying to figure out how I’d like to go about doing this. I’ll keep you guys updated on that.
I just want to thank you all once again. Thank you for deciding to follow me (or stick with me if you’ve been here since the beginning) I’m glad you guys enjoy my posts and I love connecting with you all. Every like and comment you give me means so much and makes me so happy.
THANK YOU!!! 🙂
Please feel free to connect with me over on my Instagram or Twitter – ThattgirlJenn just let me know your handle so I can add you back! I also have reviews I do on my Instagram that I don’t always post on here. I’d love to be able to connect over there as well.
Thanks for reading! 🙂
I was contacted here on my blog last week to see if I’d be interested in trying out the NuAcquaDerm Microdermabrasion at home kit.
I have never done microdermabrasion before so it wasn’t something I was familiar with. I had heard about it, I knew what it was. I had just never had it done on myself, nor ever used any kind of at home device before.
I was interested and curious to see what this product could do. I don’t have troubled skin, or a lot of acne, or problems. I get the occasional breakout, of course, but I’ve always been pretty fortunate when it comes to my skin. I also try and take good care of it, especially as I get older.
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you’ve probably seen my new nails for the month of April. (I posted over there)
If you don’t follow me, this will be new for you. 🙂 If you don’t follow me, you should! I’d love to connect with you guys over on my other social media pages. (name is the same as here – ThattgirlJenn *let me know your name so I can add you back*
I wanted to love this palette. I really wanted to love this palette. When I first saw pictures of the palette floating around on my Instagram I instantly had heart eyes. I thought the colors in this palette were gorgeous!! Gorgeous!
I was so excited by this palette I *almost* almost ordered this online before it was released in stores. I held off until it was released and I could see it and swatch it in person.
Honestly I don’t even know what I was thinking. The swatches were meh… but still I had to buy this. Once again, I kept thinking… well, maybe I can make this work. Maybe it won’t be so bad when I get it home. Why am I trying to talk myself into buying a palette just because I think the color scheme is pretty?? Continue reading
Too Faced did it again and sucked me in with their cute packaging. For the longest time I would resist… I usually only buy mascara, blush, and lip products from Too Faced. I have lots of great ones from this brand… and so far, I’ve had no issues. No complaints.
With Instagram now, I see all the cute pics of all the latest things, of course. It makes it hard sometimes not to buy into the hype. If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I’m not a big fan of Too Faced eyeshadows. I like the brand okay, just not their shadows much. Personally, for me, I just think there are better quality palettes out there. I usually don’t buy their palettes. With this brand, as I mentioned, I just stick with the blushes, mascara, lippies. This was something new for me to try.
I was shopping the other day and I’ll admit, I had my eye on these. I kept seeing them on my Instagram feed and I was curious. I’ve been on a big highlighter and blush kick lately. I went in and swatched these. I loved the gold one (You Light Up My Life) the best (though I figured it wouldn’t look that great on me.. still, I had to have it) I did noticed these felt very dry. Not smooth or buttery as a lot of my favorite highlighters are.
I’ll admit, when I first saw the ABH Aurora Glow Kit palette… I was going to pass. The colors in the pans looked… dull? With the exception of the pretty blue color. I just wasn’t too interested – at first. To me, it seemed a little similar to the Moonchild glow kit. (I have that one and I like it a lot, but I wasn’t looking for another palette similar to it)
After I saw some swatches, my opinion changed. I loved the colors swatched! To me, the colors look way better, more vibrant, than they look in the pan. If I was just judging the way it looked in the palette – without seeing how these colors swatched, I wouldn’t give it another thought. I dunno. That’s just me. I don’t think they look that special in the pan… but I sometimes feel that way with a lot of palettes.. so.
I received the Miracle Diamond Sponge from Real Techniques through Octoly. If any of you follow me on my Instagram, you may have already read my thoughts on this sponge.
Real Techniques is (somewhat) a relatively new brand for me. Back in November (Black Friday to be exact) I picked up the Miracle Sponges (the orange ones) just to give them a try.
Some of you may remember, I was a bit hesitant to try them out, thinking I wouldn’t like them. Up until that point I only used a Beautyblender. I tried other sponges that were similar, but none worked as amazing as my Beautyblender. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the Real Techniques sponges. I really loved them from the moment I tried them out.
If you read my last post, than you saw that I recently got this palette from my husband as a birthday gift. In my last post I gave you my first impressions on this palette.
I finally got the chance to play around a little bit with this palette to form my thoughts and give my opinion on what I think.
Is it worth it? Do you need it? Is it mind blowing? Or is it terrible?
