I don’t know about you… but Colourpop’s Yes, Please! eyeshadow palette screams summer vibes to me! The colors with this palette caught my eye right away. I mostly wanted to get my hands on that stunning red (Spoiled) and yellow (Mischief) color. I mean, the whole palette had some pretty fun colors in it. All the swatches they showed looked insane! I needed it… and I needed the Gimme More highlighter palette. Well, you know I didn’t need more highlighters… but I can’t stop buying them. I’m like a cat, I guess. I see shiny & bright and I lose my mind.

My thoughts on the palette : So this was my first time trying CP’s shadows. I’m a huge fan of their liquid lipsticks (I own many) and their Super Shock highlighters. I’ve always been interested in trying their shadows… however, they say they’re best used applying with your finger. I’m not a fan of using my fingers to apply my makeup. I’ve always kinda stayed away from products that require that type of application to get the best results. I’ve wanted to try their pressed shadows since I first heard about them since they’re meant to be applied with a brush.
I have to say, I am very impressed with these shadows. They really delivered! They’re so pigmented with swatches and when applying them to the eyes. I think this palette was $15 or $16. I had very little fall out when applying these shadows as well.
For the cost, I mean, you can’t go wrong! Colourpop is so affordable and offers good quality products. I know some may disagree. Some people don’t like Colourpop and think their products aren’t great. That’s fine. We all have our own preferences and likes. I personally really like this company the more I venture out and try other products they offer.
I will say this, their customer service was excellent! (Not so much on social media.. my comment was ignored/ unanswered) I commented on their Instagram page and Tweeted them about my order. I placed this order THE DAY… THE MINUTE it went live. I knew it was going to sell out so I was prepared! I think I got the conformation email at 1:03 pm (eastern time) so 3 minutes after it went live.
It was a week later when I realized I never got a shipping notification. I was seeing Instagram posts and Twitter posts of girls who ALREADY got their orders. I thought that was so strange… because, while, I understood they were probably loaded with orders… I ordered mine literally right when it was up. Why were a lot of others already getting their orders & I had yet to get a shipping confirmation?
Long story short… I didn’t get a reply on social media. I ended up emailing them and someone got back to me I think on Monday. (I emailed them Friday night not during business hours) the guy who emailed me back was very apologetic and I got my shipping notification, actually, at like 7am (eastern time) so a few hours before he emailed me back. He gave me a $5 coupon code for the inconvenience! I thought that was so nice of them and I wasn’t expecting or wanting anything other than my tracking number LOL.
I’ve never had an issue with CP’s shipping before this order. (I ordered the Fem Rosa bundle and it shipped about two days after… it’s actually expected to arrive today) This was my first time dealing with their customer service and it was a good experience. I at least got a response back and the guy I dealt with was very sweet! Plus the added $5 coupon code! Great job, Colourpop!
Gimme More! Highlighter palette includes six powder highlighters. The shades are:

I can’t really form much of an opinion on this palette just yet. I haven’t gotten around to playing with it as much as I’d like. I’ve only tried one color so far. ( which I liked and worked nicely)
I’ve heard some compare this to the Anastasia and Nicole Guerriero palette. I own that palette as well (absolutely love it btw) Some are saying this is a dupe for it. I will admit, when I first saw this palette, it looked similar to the ABH. I saw some swatches while I was still waiting for my palette to ship… I thought a few colors that I saw swatched looked very similar, but others didn’t look that exact to me. Since I haven’t had the chance to use all of these colors yet,( or compare it with swatches side by side to my ABH palette yet) I can’t completely weigh in on it. I will say, I don’t think it’s 100% a dupe for the ABH palette, but a good alternative if you don’t want to spend the money on the ABH one.
Did you guys pick up either one of these? If so which one is your favorite? Do you like them? Do you think this palette is a dupe for the ABH one? Let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for reading! 🙂
