I can honestly say, Pixi Beauty has fast become one of my favorite drugstore brands. With every new product I try, I love more and more. I really feel like the quality of some of these products, are sometimes, almost too good to be drugstore. Do you know what I mean? Maybe that’s just me…
You guys know I’m more of a high end brand kind of gal, however, I do have a select handful of drugstore brands I love and enjoy and Pixi is definitely one of them. When I saw they had this eyeshadow palette, I was more than curious to see how it would perform. If you don’t know, I’m pretty picky when it comes to my shadows. Lip products, blushes, even some foundation, I can let slide and will overlook some of the cons that, maybe, most wouldn’t let slide. When it comes to shadows though… I tend to get a bit picky and know what I like in shadow performance. With that said, it’s what I like and what works for me. It might not be what works for everyone else.
What this is? Pixi Beauty and Youtuber ItsJudyTime collaborated on this eyeshadow palette. There are twelve shadows, in mostly warm tones and range from matte to shimmer finishes. It retails for $24 and can be purchased at Target or from the Pixi Beauty website.
Before trying this palette out, I didn’t have the highest expectations. Keep in mind, I am picky about how my shadows perform, how pigmented they are, etc. I don’t tend to use drugstore eyeshadows anymore either (except NYX)
However, after trying this palette I am so very impressed. First, the shadows are very buttery and feel nice. They feel like some higher end shadows I own and enjoy a lot. These shadows were so easy to blend, very pigmented, (one of my main concerns, originally) hardly any fall out, and most importantly, lasted ALL day long. What?!
I’ve been using this palette for about a week now. I really enjoy the shade selection. My only complaint would be, I wish they would have added a matte brow bone highlight shade. I do have to go into other palettes to complete my look. It just would have been nice if it was included in this palette. Other than that, no complaints!
I would definitely recommend this palette. I feel (and this is just my opinion) these shadows are almost as good, if not as good as some higher end brands I own. They’re not chalky, or super dry, and they perform and look like good quality shadows. I think the price point is perfect, too. If you’re on a budget, or maybe a higher end palette is not in your future at the moment… these shadows are great and definitely worth a try!
Thanks to Pixi Beauty, this palette (along with the other Pixi products in the above picture) was sent to me for free from PR. With that said, I’ve said this before and I will mention it again. No matter if I get sent products to try out for free, or if I spend my own money on products. I will ALWAYS be honest in my opinion, no matter what. If I love something I will tell you. If I hate it, I will tell you. We all work hard to be able to afford our makeup goodies… and I pride myself on keeping my thoughts and my opinions completely honest. I don’t get paid to give a review (and even if I was, I’d still be completely honest with my thoughts) I’m not required to give one, I just like to share with you all what I’m enjoying at the moment. Maybe you’ll enjoy it as well if you decide to buy, or have it already. Just wanted to be clear. 🙂
Have any of you tried this palette? What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let me know! 🙂
