I love makeup. It’s pretty obvious. Since I was in middle school, my favorite makeup products to collect were lipsticks. The same is true to this day. I still love to wear and collect all kinds of lipstick, lipgloss, lip products in general.
My second favorite makeup products to collect are – highlighters. (Throw blush right beside that as well) I love a good blinding highlighter! Is there anything better? A blinding strobe of color illuminating your face, body, or wherever you chose to accentuate?
With so many new products and new releases coming out regularly… it’s almost impossible to keep up and buy it all. I mean, we all want it all.. but unless you have unlimited funds, you’ve sorta gotta pick and choose, decide what you can buy.
I did one of these “Beauty Wishlist” posts around the holidays. It’s just something for me to look at and figure out what I really need… well… really want to buy. Of course I’d love every single new collection, product, you name it. Unfortunately, I’m no Kylie Jenner. My bank account doesn’t allow me to buy everything my heart desires all the time.

How excited was I when this arrived the other day?! The Fem Rosa Collection from Colourpop is a collaboration with Karrueche Tran. The collection includes the She eyeshadow palette. The Her palette – A highlighter, blush, bronzer trio. Fem Rosa – two satin finish liquid lipsticks, and one gloss. The entire bundle retails for $40 (and is still currently available on Colourpop’s website.) *Each item can be purchased individually, however, I know the She palette is sold out currently at the moment.*
I don’t know about you… but Colourpop’s Yes, Please! eyeshadow palette screams summer vibes to me! The colors with this palette caught my eye right away. I mostly wanted to get my hands on that stunning red (Spoiled) and yellow (Mischief) color. I mean, the whole palette had some pretty fun colors in it. All the swatches they showed looked insane! I needed it… and I needed the Gimme More highlighter palette. Well, you know I didn’t need more highlighters… but I can’t stop buying them. I’m like a cat, I guess. I see shiny & bright and I lose my mind.
This palette released just in time for those sizzling hot days of summer. I feel like I need to be in Miami sipping on frozen margaritas by the beach with this one. This warm toned palette looks very fiery… Very hot. With that said, it also reminds me of the cool crisp days of the fall. The colors in the palette are very versatile, and, I think, perfect for both seasons.
The palette includes twelve shades and retails for $54. These shadows are all highly pigmented, bold, and stunning colors. The shadows range from mattes and shimmers with warmer orange and red toned hues. I think the packaging for this palette really suits and sums up what you expect the inside shadows to look like. This isn’t your “typical” Naked palette.
Hmm, where to start? Let’s first start with Morphe before I move onto reviewing their newest palette with Jaclyn Hill. Morphe is a brand, I’m sure, you’ve heard about if you’ve been following anything beauty or makeup related. They’re literally saturated all over Instagram & Youtube. Well known influencers are constantly telling us to “use their code to save some money” on the products. If you follow the makeup community, there’s no escaping the name, Morphe. We’ve all heard about this company. We either love Morphe. Or we don’t.
Less than a year ago, I was pretty adamant on the fact that I didn’t want to even try anything Morphe related. I had no desire to spend my money on “cheap” makeup. If you’ve been following my blog for a little while, you’ll know I don’t really buy drugstore products very often. I just find the quality is not there. I prefer high end makeup and brands. That’s just my opinion and my preference. (More recently, I’ve discovered and come to love a few drugstore brands that really deliver with the quality of their products.) Slowly my opinion is changing on some of these brands, as I find they’re starting to deliver in the quality department. Continue reading
