This palette released just in time for those sizzling hot days of summer. I feel like I need to be in Miami sipping on frozen margaritas by the beach with this one. This warm toned palette looks very fiery… Very hot. With that said, it also reminds me of the cool crisp days of the fall. The colors in the palette are very versatile, and, I think, perfect for both seasons.
The palette includes twelve shades and retails for $54. These shadows are all highly pigmented, bold, and stunning colors. The shadows range from mattes and shimmers with warmer orange and red toned hues. I think the packaging for this palette really suits and sums up what you expect the inside shadows to look like. This isn’t your “typical” Naked palette.
Hmm, where to start? Let’s first start with Morphe before I move onto reviewing their newest palette with Jaclyn Hill. Morphe is a brand, I’m sure, you’ve heard about if you’ve been following anything beauty or makeup related. They’re literally saturated all over Instagram & Youtube. Well known influencers are constantly telling us to “use their code to save some money” on the products. If you follow the makeup community, there’s no escaping the name, Morphe. We’ve all heard about this company. We either love Morphe. Or we don’t.
Less than a year ago, I was pretty adamant on the fact that I didn’t want to even try anything Morphe related. I had no desire to spend my money on “cheap” makeup. If you’ve been following my blog for a little while, you’ll know I don’t really buy drugstore products very often. I just find the quality is not there. I prefer high end makeup and brands. That’s just my opinion and my preference. (More recently, I’ve discovered and come to love a few drugstore brands that really deliver with the quality of their products.) Slowly my opinion is changing on some of these brands, as I find they’re starting to deliver in the quality department. Continue reading
I’m always enthusiastic when I hear Bath & Body Works (Or Yankee Candle) has released a new bakery/ sweet/ foodie type of scented candle. After all, those are my kind of candles. Pretty much the only type of scents I tend to buy, with a few exceptions every now and then.
I’ll be honest, I’m pretty much out of the loop when it comes to B&BW or candles in general right now. I typically buy fall and winter candles. I’m not into spring, floral, heavy perfume scents, so I usually stay away.
I heard about this candle, you guessed it… on Instagram. It was floating around and many people were declaring this candle, “The best candle of the summer.” It is a bakery based candle and you know that caught my attention right away. Continue reading
I’ve had both of these palette’s for a little while now & have been meaning to let you guys know what my thoughts are on them. *insert face palm emoji here* Better late than never, right?
I’m not one to purchase a lot of drugstore makeup. It’s just a personal preference and I don’t find many brands that I like, or blow me away as I do with high end products. However, I do have a couple of brands I really do enjoy and buy products from: Milani, NYX, and more recently, Makeup Revolution.
Makeup Revolution is still pretty new to me. I think I “discovered” them a couple of months ago when I saw someone tag them in these gorgeous highlighters (Skin Kiss ones) on Instagram. I remember thinking the highlighters looked so good, the swatches I saw were so pigmented, so perfect. I ended up buying them… although, in the back of my mind I kept thinking, “How good could these really be?” I didn’t have high hopes.
I am really slacking because I realized I never posted my nails from this month. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen them. If you read my last post, you got a sneak peak (ish) of them as a little bit of the design was shown while holding one of the products for that post.
Let me just say that the design I went with this month, was one I found from a nail tech on Instagram. He does amazing designs! Amy, (my nail tech) recreated the look perfectly. I am obsessed! Really, though, when am I not? 🙂 Continue reading
I am obsessed with scents. I love things that smell great, candles, fragrances, you name it. I don’t know about you, but whenever I go into a Sephora, or Ulta, or any kind of store that sells perfume or fragrances… I always end up leaving smelling like a million different scents because I just can’t help myself and need to sample EVERYTHING.
I’m always looking for new fragrances that I’ll love. (Lots of times I find them just by getting those sample cards that come inside magazines) Sometimes I end up finding a scent just because I like the look of the bottle or the packaging looks nice. (I know, crazy… luckily I haven’t bought one yet that was a complete fail)
I was really excited to try Jouer Cosmetics highlighters. As you know, highlighters (lipstick & blush) are my obsession at the moment. Before I placed my order, I originally just had my eye on the new ‘Skinny Dip’ lip topper.
The pictures of that lip topper looked stunning! I own two other lip toppers from them and wanted to get Skinny Dip to add to my collection.
I think because I wanted the lip topper, I wanted to add the highlighter as well. I decided to go with an additional highlighter… well, because it was hard not to pick more than just one. 🙂
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this package from Pixi Beauty, who very kindly sent this out for me to try.
Pixi is a new brand for me. I’ve noticed this brand maybe, two months ago? I was in Target and had my eye on their Hydrating Milky Mist and Glow Mist. I was hearing wonderful reviews on them and kept debating if I should pick them up to give them a try.
I ended up not getting them… but I’m heading to Target this week and I do have them on my list. With that said, after trying this product, I am now very eager and excited to try other products from this company. (Which is why I will be heading to Target to pick up those mists. ) Continue reading
It’s that time again. New month (the month is pretty much over & I got my nails done almost two weeks ago… but you know what I mean) new nail design. I almost forgot to post this. I know a lot of you like to see my monthly nail designs, so here you go. 🙂
I wasn’t sure if I was going to go with bright summer colors, (I was thinking matte hot pink or turquoise… I can never really decide, let’s be honest.) Instead, I kept it kinda simple. White and pink with some transfer foils and a touch of glitter. (gotta have glitter, who would I be without it?)
Super cute. Super simple. Still girly and fun.
How pretty is my Auora Crystal?! I purchased that a couple of weeks ago and I am in love. It was my first time buying any kind of crystal(s) but I thought it was so pretty… I had to have one! Check out my Instagram to see the woman’s page (I tagged her) if you’re interested in buying. So gorgeous!
Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!
Thanks for reading! 🙂

It’s been a while since I made a post non beauty related. Speaking of beauty, there are a few products I have my eye on that I’m considering purchasing. I may have a post about that soon.
How is it that we’re going into the end of May? Already? The year is almost half way over… didn’t we JUST celebrate the New Year? Feels that way, sometimes.
I’m not a fan of summer, so this time of year is totally one I dread. I don’t like feeling hot and sticky, I hate humidity and super hot temps. I’ve always been that way. (give me fall weather or winter weather) Plus I hate all the bugs and bees the summer brings. Ugh! I dread this every time… I hate spiders, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, random strange weird bugs that show up in my house every now and then at this time. No. No. No. I’m over summer before it even begins. Every. Single. Time.
