Melt Cosmetics is brand that is new to me. I first heard about them from Instagram a while ago. Most of the beauty guru’s I follow showed pictures, gave reviews, talked about this brand and their stacked eyeshadows. I was interested. I wanted to try the ‘Rust Stack’ for a while now, however, it was always sold out whenever I tried to purchase it.
I was finally able to grab this on their Cyber Monday sale, I believe. I think originally it sold out, or something happened with the site & it crashed. They restocked maybe a week later? (not too sure of the timeline) and said they would honor the Cyber Monday deal. I set my alarm and quickly purchased it the day it went live. It was a pretty easy transaction, no site crashes, I was able to add it to my cart, pay and check out.
I placed an order with Jouer Cosmetics not too long ago. I picked up one of their liquid lipsticks in the color, ‘Buff’ and a lip topper in the color, ‘Skinny Dip.’ I have ordered previously with Jouer in the past and happen to really love their products. I think their liquid lipsticks are pretty darn amazing. They feel super lightweight on the lips, smell amazing, not to mention the longevity of the lippies. Those babies stay on!! I happen to think Jouer is a fantastic company that knows how to make great liquid lipsticks. (I can’t comment on any of their other products, as I haven’t ventured out and tried anything besides their lip products… though, I’m sure everything they produce is amazing.)
I’ve never tried anything from IT Cosmetics. I always see things that look interesting and I’ve heard good things about this brand. I don’t know why I’ve never tried anything… until now. My last trip to Ulta this brush set caught my attention. If the name – All That Glitters, didn’t catch my eye, the silver glittery pouch sure did it for me! How could I pass it up? Besides, you can never have too many brushes & I always like adding more to my collection. This is a limited edition 5 piece set that retails for $58 and can be purchased at Ulta. Continue reading
I really don’t have a Christmas wish list. If I see something I want, I buy it. I don’t like waiting. I’m impatient and I want things right now. I guess you could say, I’m hard to shop for… well I guess not really shop for (I’m pretty easy, I like makeup, clothes, sparkly items, money, girly things) I think it’s hard to actually buy me things since the things I really want, I buy for myself. My husband is the same way, so it’s always a fun time trying to shop for each other this time of year. With that said, I was checking out Sephora’s website earlier and found a few items that really caught my eye. I decided to make a small ‘wish list.’ While I really like these items, I don’t see myself spending the money to actually buy them. Another reason they’re in a wish list. Continue reading
I didn’t pick up much at Lush today. I actually didn’t even need anything, when does that stop me though, right? I saw on Instagram earlier that Kendall Alfred posted a clip of her Santa’s Belly shower gel. I thought it was the cutest thing and decided right then and there that I needed to buy it. I was going to place a small order online, however, I’m impatient and want things now… plus I didn’t want to pay for shipping when the mall is less than fifteen minutes away.
Lush is a store where it’s always so hard to NOT walk out of there with something. Everything in there is so adorable and smells amazing!! I literally go crazy over all the cute bath bombs, soaps, scrubs, you name it. A lot of the items can be a bit pricy and start to add up so you want to be mindful, unless you’re splurging, then go for it! Today was not a splurge day. (Still trying to finish up my Christmas shopping, actually picked up two gifts for people on my list while in Lush today, so win win.) Continue reading
For a while now, I’ve been contemplating about buying a Morphe Palette(s). I go back and forth with putting them in my cart, putting in my payment info, yet I pause just before I can click send. These palettes are pretty inexpensive, so why am I hesitating about ordering one? I’ve done my research. I’ve watched videos on them – not just from the big beauty influencers who are getting paid to give a good review. I’ve looked at pictures, swatches, checked to see what some were saying over on Instagram. For the most part I’ve heard good things about the Morphe palettes, however, I’ve also heard some not so good things. Some claim the eyeshadows are chalky or powdery and feel cheap, not easy to blend, while pigmented, they don’t have the same intensity as they appeared in swatches or looked in the pan. Others claim these palettes are some of their favorites with an affordable price point.
I think it just all comes down to personal preference. I think I’m on the fence because I really just don’t want to waste my money. It’ll either go one of two ways… I’m going to really love the palette, or I’ll hate it. Continue reading
If you guys checked out my Ulta Black Friday Post, then you saw I picked these two Tarte lippies up. I’ve been wanting to try Tarte’s liquid lipsticks for a while now. I love Tarte! I have a few of their Amazonian Clay blushes, eyeshadow palette, concealer, and one of my favorite foundations- Tarte’s Rainforest Of The Sea. I’m familiar with this brand and it’s one I really like. I don’t know why it took me until now to finally try their lip products. (Blame it on the abundance of lippies I already own and if I stopped buying lipsticks tomorrow, would last me for a couple of years.) I guess you could say I’ve kinda always had my eye on Tarte’s liquid lipsticks. I’ve wanted to try the color Namaste for a while. I’ve noticed the color on a few girls on Instagram, and from the looks of it, it looked to be a color that was definitely for me. You guys know I love a good nude! Can you ever really have too many nude shades? 😉 Continue reading
