Happy Halloween!!

As much as I look forward to this day, I’m always amazed when the day actually arrives because it seems like just yesterday October 1st began. How is it already Halloween?? Of course when you’re a kid, time seems to drag on and on…but once you’re older, time moves so fast.

Halloween still excites me as an adult. I know some people either still really enjoy and look forward to Halloween, or they hate it and think it’s a day for kids. While it is a day for kids to get dressed up in their costumes and go door to door trick or treating, I think adults can still celebrate the magic of Halloween. It sounds kinda cheesy, but for me, I’ve always looked at Halloween as a magical fun holiday if you will. While I don’t go out trick or treating of course, nor do my husband and I have little ones to take out, I love a night of scary movies and handing out candy. I love seeing the neighborhood kids in their costumes and seeing how excited they are. That used to be me at that age and I remember how I couldn’t wait for this day/ night to come.

I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t go to any haunted houses or pumpkin patches this year. No fun hayrides, either. We planned on doing all those fun things this year, but it never worked out and now it’s already Halloween!!

What are some of your Halloween memories? Any plans for tonight? Did you dress up this year, or do you have kids that are dressing up? Let me know.

Hope you’re all safe tonight and have a Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻🎃👻

Target addiction & online shopping.

img_6210-1Who doesn’t love Target, right? I can’t be the only one who needs to buy one or two items going in… and somehow finds themselves wandering the aisles, picking up a million and one other things. Things I don’t really need, but it’s cute, or I’ll find some use for it. (I mean, that’s the talk I have with myself in my head)  This isn’t just a once and a while kinda thing either. No, this happens every time I step into that evil, wonderful store. I walk through that store in some kind of trance and come out with a cart full of stuff thinking, “Wtf did you just buy?” Lol anyone else? Or am I alone in my shopping addiction?  Continue reading

Let’s talk fall tv favs.

image

Fall is  obviously my favorite time of year for many reasons, (if you’d like to read about why you can check out my post here The best time of the year)  and with fall comes new and old fall television shows. I’m a lover of both movies & tv (reality and scripted) so I thought I’d talk about some current shows that are on the old DVR that I’m watching or plan to watch this fall season. Continue reading

The best time of the year

imageFall has always been my favorite time of the year. The hot sticky days of the summer start turning to cool, crisp days and nights. The leaves start changing from the dull green to a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors, from oranges, reds, and yellows. Everything about the fall is magical. Growing up in New England I’ve been fortunate to experience such beauty. I don’t think you can truly experience and enjoy or appreciate the fall foliage until you see it in all its glory that New England offers. I think I’m probably at my happiest once this time of year rolls around. Nothing gets me more ready for this time of year then the sight of pumpkins. Pumpkins make me think of Halloween… and Halloween is one of my favorites! Who doesn’t love a good scary movie while sipping hot chocolate or cider? It’s literally what I look forward to the most- that and apple picking! Okay, hayrides as well.  Continue reading
