I got this palette on Sunday. I had heard that a lot of Sephora’s were selling them early (even though it was set to release in stores on March 3 or 4th) I called one of my Sephora stores just to ask. The girl said she had them and put one aside for me and off I went to snatch this pretty up!
Ahh! I am in heaven! I’ve wanted this palette since I first saw the colors. Stunning. Just stunning. I’m not sure why these palettes were in Sephora so early, but I am not complaining. I was ready to order it online… which I didn’t really want to because… that little thing called waiting. I’m so happy I was able to get my hands on this earlier! Continue reading

It’s that time of year again when I’ll continue to write (or type) in last years year. No joke I googled 2016 image pics instead of 2017. I sat looking at them for a couple of minutes until it finally clicked… and I’m like, “Oh yeah, we’re in a new year now. It’s 2017… not 16.”
Six days in so far and it feels no different. (I mean, does it really ever?) I’m still a little bummed that Christmas is over. No more excitement.
Some people are so quick to remove all traces of the holidays, literally, the moment Christmas ends. I have friends who take down and toss out their trees before the end of the night is over on Christmas Day! On Christmas Day!
I like to enjoy it a little longer. When I was a kid we’d always take our decorations and stuff down after January 1st. I still do that to this day. My husband and I will… sadly, take everything down probably this weekend. Continue reading
OMG! Guys! Can you believe it’s already January?! How is it a new year already?? Seriously, where did the year go? I feel like I just made the post of last months favorites. One thing is for sure, time goes by too fast.
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year! Mine was nice. Pretty low-key with my husband. Nothing fancy.
Well now that one of my favorite months has come to an end… (oh how I’ll miss all the Christmas decor, music, activities, etc.) it’s time for another favorites post. Continue reading
I kinda had my eye on this highlighter trio when I first saw it on Colourpop’s website. It’s for lighter skin tones, since I don’t keep up with my self tanning regularly during the winter… I thought this would be perfect.
From reading my blog, you know I’m a big fan of Colourpop. I love their matte, satin, and metallic liquid lipsticks! I really do think for the inexpensive price you pay, you end up with a good quality product. Plus they have many, many, different shades to choose from. Their products are great and shipping is usually super quick. I’ve never had any issues with Colourpop (items missing, broken, etc) knock on wood… so I’m not sure how the customer service is on that. However, I’d imagine they are pretty on top of things and would fix whatever issue you had accordingly. Continue reading
When I went into my nail salon for my appointment this month, I knew I wanted to do something kinda “wintery”
I ordered these foils online a few weeks ago, with some kind of design in mind for my next visit. The foils I got were just gold, silver, bronze, and this pretty gold and bluish mix together. (That’s the foil we ended up going with)
I really like this design. It’s not something I’ve done before… especially with the free edge (bottom of the nail) being transparent. As always, my nail tech, Amy did an amazing job!
What my camera is not picking up is the beautiful white (almost snow colored custom glitter mix) at the nail bed. It’s so sparkly and gorgeous! The foils are embedded in and I think this comes together so nicely. It’s simple, yet really stunning in person. To really get the effect it’s better to see it in person. I tried capturing it many times, however, the full intensity wasn’t picking up.
I think this design is perfect for the wintery months, especially with January right around the corner.
What types of designs do you like to do for the winter months? Let me know!
Thanks for reading! 🙂

Growing up I always had cats. I love cats! My Mom is a big animal lover & was always a “cat person” so I grew up as a “cat person.” I remember when I was younger I always wanted a dog. I begged my Mom for a dog. (Doesn’t every kid?) My Mom has always had pretty bad asthma and she was allergic to most dogs. Her Doctors always discouraged her even having cats because they said it could bother her asthma, my Mom being stubborn (wonder where I get it from? Dad’s the same way too) always went against that suggestion. (Short haired cats were okay for her and didn’t cause any attacks. I grew up with all short haired cats. I think long haired cats are gorgeous (My Dad had a gorgeous one, sadly his cat passed away almost two years ago)
I remember always answering the question, “Are you a cat or dog person?” as “both.” I grew up with cats, had many of them during my childhood and early adult years, however, even though, at that time, I never owned a dog, I loved them too. I love animals and I always wanted a dog… I didn’t really know the difference between having a cat and having a dog. I thought it was pretty much the same. Continue reading
